She began her Vermont real estate career in Lamoille County in 1969, selling condominiums at ski areas, farmhouses across Northern Vermont, and investment properties including a large motel and restaurant. She expanded her real estate knowledge by serving as the chief residential real estate appraiser for the Chittenden Trust Company in the mid-70s.
